Okay, so technically Don and Elle have already been married for a while now, so this isn’t an actual engagement session.
It is, however, their first professional photography session together… so we gave them the whole e-session treatment!
And even though they’ve been married for several years, they acted as if they’d just gotten engaged.
Don is a retired member of the military who now likes to devote his time to Elle and his car (which Elle teases is his “other wife”).
He met Elle in the Philippines thru a mutual friend. They’ll be married 12 years this December.
She works at the College of William and Mary, loves handbags, pretty scarfs, and being with Don – her best friend.
For their session we also brought along some black and white film, tmax400, featured here and developed by Richard Photo Lab.
Elle and Don, thanks so much for inviting us to capture these gorgeous shots of you!
You were both naturals, so while this was the first shoot, we hope it isn’t the last!
Best, Michael & Carina

How wonderful is it that they chose to have a session done. Fantastic Job! I am sure they will treasure these forever.
Gorgeous session!! I’m loving that bright pop of color from her scarf!
Love your black and whites. I think my favorite is the second to last one. They are perfectly framed and it is just a perfect fall backdrop. So pretty!
The last image really has a lot of heart; a true candid, intimate moment the couple is lost in. Very nice.
What a beautiful session! You can tell they are so in love
What a beautiful couple!
Great job! Loved them all but my absolute favorite was the last one. Seems like you really were able to make them at ease during their session.
Awww, they look so much in love! Love the images!
Thank you Michael & Carina for making our first photo session memorable. These are great photos that Don and I will cherish forever. You guys are the best!
